Germination | Can be directly sown in spring or started indoors. Sow seeds 1/2-3/4 inch deep. If sown indoors, keep soil temp around 60 F until germination. Scarification or removal of the seed coat is recommended and will significantly speed germination. Naturally irregular germination can take up to 6-8 weeks. A short cold stratification period (30-45 days) may improve germination rate. |
