Commonly known as Scotch Bonnet or Cachucha in the Caribbean, this thin skinned hot pepper is a major cash crop for the region. With a Scoville rating varying between 10,000 and 150,000, its wide range of heat is unique. Environmental conditions have a significant effect on levels of capsicum.
